The First One

So we're counting down five months to the big move now. Things are really starting to feel real. We're about to hand over the leadership of the young adults connect group to the newly appointed leaders, and we've started making a list of friends we would like to catch up with before we go. It is with heavy hearts that we do this, knowing that from here on things will not be quite the same anymore. That is not to say that these friendships are over, because relationships transcend physical space and geographical boundaries, but that the nature of the friendships will inevitably change. Anticipatory grief is a very real thing. But we also know that God's grace is enough for us as we navigate this, and that Jesus is so worthy of our wholehearted "yes", so worthy of any sacrifice we might have to make.
