Our Story
Gabe is a third generation missionary who was born in Chiang Mai and raised there in his early childhood years. He officially relocated to Australia at the age of six, but would often return to Thailand, where his family's ministry was based, sometimes staying for more than a year to serve God and be part of the work his family was doing in the tribal areas of both Thailand and Burma. While he identifies as Thai-Aussie, he does not actually have any Thai or Aussie in his bloodline. He does, however, have Karen (from his father), as well as Kiwi, English and Scottish (from his mother).

Daphne hails from the sunny island of Singapore. She came to know the Lord during the age of blogging, where a classmate of hers blogged about attending "cell group" on Saturdays. As a 13-year-old, all she could think about were prison cells and why her classmate had access to them. This opened up a life-changing conversation about Christianity, which ended with her asking if she could come to church.

In May of 2016, through a series of divine connections, Daphne was invited by a friend on a personal mission trip to serve with a local missions organisation in Chiang Mai. This turned out to be the ministry run by Gabe's family. The trip was so impactful that she felt compelled to return at the end of the year. That was when she met Gabe, who had brought along a team of young adults from Australia to run a youth camp for the ministry. Gabe's older sister, who thought they would be good together, tried to nudge them toward each other. She was right, and she succeeded, but their journey together was not an easy one given that they were residing in different countries. It was only by the grace of God that they made it through five and a half years of long-distance relationship and finally tied the knot in 2022.

The first few years of their marriage were spent in Australia, adjusting to life as newlyweds and learning to serve together as part of a local church. In 2026, Gabe and Daphne officially made the move to Chiang Mai to begin their new lives as missionaries. These days, they are working on becoming fluent in Thai, and making preparations for the various projects God has assigned them.
